Happy weekend everyone. It looks like a pretty decent day today after the gloomy Saturday. I may take a ride down to see the St. Patrick's Day parade in Boston.
We had a great week. Between pies, the leprechaun visiting and Ben's birthday, we had a lot going on! This week should be a little more normal. The kids brought their book fair papers home. The pledge sheets will be returned on April 1st. This is a yearly fundraiser for the PTA. The kids will get to dress up as their favorite book character. I will let you know the date as we get closer. Report cards will be coming home this week. The kids have done a great job. They have grown in so many ways since September and they are progressing very nicely on the road to fourth grade. I can't believe we only have 58 days of school left. Where does the time go? This week in Wonders, we are doing Unit 5-week 1. The genre is a fairy tale. This story is a favorite with the kids. The spelling words are listed on the spelling page of this website. In math, we are finishing up unit 6. We are working on division stories, long division, and fast math for multiplication. Our president's unit is in full swing, and the kids are really enjoying that. In science this week, we will be making paper houses to stand up to a hurricane. This is a fun experiment for the kids. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone and enjoy the rest of the week. Stay healthy and safe! Comments are closed.

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
