The weather finally cooperated. We finally got our pool situated after three days of electrical work. Also, after a brand new pump. I still can't believe we scored a pump on Memorial Day weekend. Always something when you have a pool. I have a feeling we will enjoy it more than ever this week. We also did the Goffstown Rail Trail and went all the way to Manchester on foot. Quite a hike. I hope you all keep cool these next couple of days during the heatwave.

We've been thinking about the whale watch a whole bunch, have you? After lots of planning, we just had a final meeting with administration about an amazing idea. Next spring, even though you are going to be officially fourth graders we received permission to do one more very special day together as a class. We'll be going on our whale watch, which you all earned with your hard work for Michaelmas, next spring. Yes, you heard it correctly. There will be more information to follow as I learn more. But pencil it in, we WILL be going on a whale watch together, once it is safe to do so. I was so excited to hear about this you guys. I hope you are as excited as I am. It will be our special day together! I couldn't even sleep last night because I couldn't wait to tell you! I wonder what the ocean will say to us? Probably nothing, it will just wave! Got ya! I spent all day at school yesterday. It was so sad being there alone. I emptied out all of the kid's desks and put everything( yes, everything!) in bags and labeled them. I also put in their math workbooks and reading workbooks. Lots of practice pages! Now we will wait for administration to see how they are going to pass out the stuff. The weather was decent and it was great to do outdoor activities. Mr. Mud finally purchased his new mountain bike yesterday. It will be fun for the rail trails. I also did a lot of work around the yard and went on a few long runs.
Today, I will be at the school from 7:30 until 8:00 tonight. I will need to pack up everything. I will let you know the procedure for picking up the kid's belongings when I get more information. I will be putting their workbooks and various other things into bags with their names on them. There will be major construction going on in the room(new windows) so I also have to prepare for that. I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
