Dear parents and kids of Mr. Mud's Third Grade,
Summer is winding down, although it certainly doesn't feel like it weather wise. By now you should have received a letter from the school in the mail explaining a little bit about third grade. I have the room almost set up and ready for September 4th. I have just about everything you will need to start the year off. If you would like to get a fun durable folder that you can take back and forth with you everyday, that would be great. I do have extra ones available. I hope you are thinking of some great Michaelmas craft ideas for the annual Michaelmas Fair. Right now, it looks like the date of the fair will be October 19th. Mrs. Mud is already working on some crafts for you to sell. Please don't forget to bring in a couple of things to school with you from your summer vacation. I can't wait to hear about your adventures and really get to know all of you! We will have a great year together. I am very excited and I hope you are too. We will be a family of 20. Enjoy the last three weeks of the vacation. Still plenty of nice weather left. If anyone would like to come in and check out the classroom, I will be in and out during the next few weeks. Just call first to make sure I'm there. There will be a meet and greet on Thursday, August 30th from 1:30-2:00 for Kindergarten, Readiness, First Grade and kids new to our school. I will be in the classroom at that time if any of you are planning to visit with younger siblings. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail or call and I will get back to you. Go Patriots, Red Sox and Mets!!!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces and spending the year with all of you!!!!! |
I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
