Good Morning. Happy Sunday everyone. The weekend flew by with numerous graduation parties and gatherings. Tis the season!
We had a great Field Day on Friday. The weather was perfect. The kids had a blast. Especially at Drip, Drop, Drip! The games were fun and spirits ran high. Only two and a half days to this week. On Monday, I will be on the Whale Watch with the fifth grade. We finally get to go! Ms. Jenn will be with the kids and the kids are excited about that. The state boxes look great, and we will start sharing tomorrow and finish up on Tuesday. Remember, Wednesday is a half day and the kids will be dismissed at 12:00. The report cards will be coming home electronically. Please have the kids bring in a bag for Tuesday, as we will be cleaning out desks and taking down projects. On Wednesday, I plan to have a small farewell party and celebrate our two summer birthdays. I have farewell gifts for the kids and a surprise in the making. I can't believe this is the last time I will be writing for the Dunking Donuts on this site for this year. Where did the time go? It was a great ride. Thank you for sharing your children with me. What a fantastic year. We had so much fun and the kids learned so much. I told all of them to come back and visit. Thank you for all of your support this year. It will be sad to let the kids go, but I will keep them in my heart forever. Hopefully I will see you around and I told the kids to come back and visit anytime. Have a great rest of the weekend! Good morning everyone. Happy weekend! We are enjoying our company from Pennsylvania. They are both teachers also. Getting very excited about the game tonight! Go Celtics!
The whale watch, though a little damp, was a good one. The kids had a great time and didn't mind the weather at all. Once we got out to Jeffery's Ledge, the rain stopped. Nine put on a real good show for us! This week there is so much going on. On Monday, the High School is coming to put on a play for us. In the afternoon, we will be going down to the rec field to celebrate our end of the year reading challenge. Please remind the kids to bring a towel and a water bottle. On Tuesday, we will celebrate our last Community Meeting of the year. It will be held in the gym at 8:30. If your child is performing, please feel free to come and join us. Please allow some time to sign in. On Thursday, grades one, two, and three will be having their field day from 8:15 until 11:30. Volunteers are still needed. Please make sure the kids have sneakers, a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Ms. Jenn will be a sub for me that day because I will be on the 5th grade whale watch. Yes, I get to go again! The last day of school will be June 15th and the kids will be dismissed at 12:00. This next week in the classroom we will be finishing up some whale stuff and some state stuff. Don't forget that the state boxes will be due at the end of the week. Have a great rest of the weekend. Enjoy the beautiful weather. |
I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
