At the school board meeting last night, the board voted to give us two long weekends without having to make them up. May 1st and May 15th will be the two days off. A new calendar will be coming out in the next two days. They switched our calendar from days to hours for the rest of the year. Here is you agenda for today......... Your math lesson 6-7 is in Google Classroom Math. You may do the math message and the math boxes. Your vocabulary words are listed in Google classroom vocabulary. You may write your sentences on the google doc. The directions have been simplified in Connected. The reason that the words and assignments are so close together in the teacher box is because of their format that allows only so many words and spaces. I worked on the problem most of the night and I think I now have that mastered. Enjoy the podcast for Science. Please do journals and GROW. Don't forget it is gym day. Keep up the great work. This week in everyday Math, we will be concentrating on multiplication and division. Remember, division undoes multiplication. You will be working on word problems using a letter for where your answer should be. We have done this in class. We will start off with lesson 6-6. Remember to go to connected and click on red school house. Find your name and enter your password. You know the drill! Please do math message, math boxes and home link. In spelling we are working on lesson 5-4. These words are all about plurals and the rule about dropping y, changing to i and adding es. Please have a practice test today. Your words are now on the google doc where you type them two times each. This will save you one step at least. Please keep up the great work on your journals and your GROW. I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face.
