Happy Sunday everyone. The rain has washed almost all of the snow away here on the Mud Hill. So sad! Where is the snow? We need a good snowstorm!
We had a great week in school. We accomplished so much. Our zoom class was very successful and the kids did an awesome job as usual. In reading Wonders this week, we will be on Unit 3- week 5. Our genre is expository text. We will also start our Aimsweb testing in oral reading. We take the Aimsweb assessment three times a year. The kids will be tested in reading and math. I am sure they will do a great job. In math, we just finished our unit assessment. The kids did an amazing job. We are now working on our three and four times tables. Our new unit will tackle measurement. Please have the kids study those times tables. In social studies we continue to study the United States through the Grow program and we will concentrate on Martin Luther King these next few days. We are in the middle of our weather unit for science. The kids are enjoying all the hands-on activities that go along with the unit. They are getting to be experts at identifying clouds. This is our week for exchanging library books. Most of the kids have brought their books in. If not, please have them return on Monday and Tuesday. We have started the read aloud series, "Sideways Stories From Wayside School". The kids are really enjoying it. We watch the videos while we eat lunch. We are enjoying the antics of Sam the Snowman. Teddy has sent him down from the North Pole. He is not as mischievous as Teddy was, but he keeps us on our toes. The kids made some really heartfelt cards for our adoptive Godparents. They were overjoyed when they received them. Keep up the wonderful work everyone. You continue to amaze me. Have a great week. Stay safe and healthy. Enjoy the Chiefs game today if you are watching football. We are off to the beach to check it out. Dunkin Donuts first of course! Comments are closed.

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
