Happy weekend to all. I hope you guys had a nice three day weekend. I had the chance to meet with one of my college roommates, did some shopping and decorated some more!
This week we are back to a normal 5 day week. Our room looks great. It is so festive and the kids did a nice job on decorating their trees. Teddy(our elf) came back on Wednesday. We found him sleeping in Snoopy's doghouse. He was very tired from his long journey. I guess he ran into a huge snowstorm. On Thursday he was in Gavin's tepee eating my oreo cookies! We know that he loves to snack and he is very mischievous! You never know where he is going to be or what he is going to do. This week in Wonders, we will be on Unit 3-week 1. The new spelling words are listed on the spelling page and we will have a test on Friday. In math, we are moving on to Unit 4. The kids did an awesome job on their unit 3 assessment. Unit 4 will address multiplication, division and measurement. This week, the kids are going to pick names for their Secret Santa. They can buy their person a present and we will reveal the Secret Santas on the day of our Christmas party. Please keep the cost between 8 and 10 dollars. This year we are going to take turns telling what types of things we are interested in. (Thank you Kaylin, great idea). Last year the kids gave hints and little trinkets to their Secret Santa the week before the actual reveal. We will see who can keep the secret the longest. On the day of the party, we will get three guesses to see if they can guess their Secret Santa. It is really fun. For the party, I will treat the class for pizza. If we could get a few baked goods for the party, that would be great. We will be dismissed on Thursday the 23rd at 12:00. We continue to do an awesome job in the classroom. The kids are learning so much and they are excited about school. Thank you for keeping them healthy. I can't believe the first semester is over and it is the 63rd day of school. Time sure flies. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. No Patriots today, but it should be a great game tomorrow night. Stay safe and healthy and I will see you guys tomorrow morning. Can't wait to hear about your three day weekend. Comments are closed.

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
