ELA- Read the Wonders story-"Nora's Ark" Answer the 2 questions in the Wonders reading classroom in the doc. I gave you two days to complete this assignment. Our first wave of the Presidential Reception will take place tomorrow at 10:00. I will post the link in Mr. Mud Remote Learning. I would like everyone to review the expected "zoom" behaviors while listening to your fellow classmates. My suggestion would be for everyone to be muted except for the president speaking. That way all background noise can be eliminated. The same respectful rules would also play out in the classroom. The kids worked very hard and they should be proud to share their hard work. The presidents will go in order. There may be a few exceptions, but we will figure that out on the day of. The first group of speakers will be .....1. Marissa-Adams, 2. Evan-Madison, 3. Luci-J.Q. I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. It was a little chilly, but at least the sun was out. Tyler and I got Mrs. Mud a new phone and some flowers. We decided to wait until one day this week to have a cookout. It will be warmer. We did manage to have some ice cream at Haywards. We picked a corner where the sun was shining. I hope all the moms enjoyed their glasses. Mrs. Mud and I had fun creating them.
We will have two classes this week for the purpose of President speeches. If your internet is being crabby, or it's just not working, do not feel bad. I have gone over all the speeches and they are amazing. You guys went above and beyond. Each speech is unique and has your own signature to each one. You covered everything in the rubric. Outstanding work everyone. Presidential speeches will be held Wednesday at 10:00 and Thursday at 10:00. Please make sure you practice. It is very important the you give your full attention to each president, just like we would do in class. I will leave it up to you if you would like to dress up as your president. I will completely understand if you can't. Remember, no worries. This is going to be fun. Here is your agenda for today...... ELA- write about your weekend in google class journal. Spelling- type two times in Google classroom spelling Math-lesson 7-4, do in Google Math classroom. Please go to math connected and watch three short tutorial videos-pages 134, 144, and 150. We will also talk about fractions this morning. Journals-write some great stuff about you weekend. GROW Please join the State Project Google Classroom and check out the rubric for your state project. You will have a month to complete this. You may type it up and organize it anyway you want. Take your time and do a good job. I know you will. I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face.
