Happy Easter to all. I hope everyone is enjoying the halfway decent weather. The snow in my yard is almost gone!
This week should be a pretty normal week. We will begin Wonders, Unit 5 week 1. The new spelling words are posted on the spelling page.
In math we are continuing in Unit 6. Our individual fast math is really going well. The kids are loving it.
Our presidential unit is in full swing. It looks like our reception will take place sometime in May.
We were introduced to Word on the computer this week and we have learned how to save a document. We also have our own portfolio.
We will be practicing a couple days this week for the upcoming SAS test. I will be asking the room moms to put up a sign up genius for the purpose of getting snacks for the kids during the week of testing. Cheese and crackers, fruit, juice boxes, muffins, etc. They will be welcomed after the testing ends right around recess time in the morning.
Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school!
