I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had the opportunity to emcee the Talent Show and it was a great time. So much talent in our school. Congratulations to all of those who performed.
In reading this week, we will be on Unit 5-week 4. The new spelling words are posted on the spelling page. Our theme this week is citizenship. In math, we continue to study our multiplication facts. We are also learning division and working on liquid measurement. Our fast math is coming along nicely. the kids love doing it for one minute. On Monday afternoon, we will be repairing the Native American sculptures that we created up on the hill. Unfortunately, some of the sculptures were vandalized over a weekend. The kids were pretty upset. Mark will be with us to help with the repairs. On Tuesday, the New England Aquarium will be coming with their giant inflatable whale. Thank you to the parents who signed up for the day.. Your training will begin at 9:15. Our class will come down to the gym at 1:00. Our president unit is in full swing. The kids are learning so much about the presidents and United States history. Remember our reception will be held on the 25th of May. It will take place in the classroom at 1:00. After the speeches, we will sample some of the presidents favorite foods. The presidential punch is delicious. We hope to see you there. Remember kids should be looking for an outfit to dress as their president. Please use your resources and don't go out and spend a lot of money. We have talked about the different outfits in class. Modern day presidents can wear a white shirt with a tie. Thanks to all of you who pledged for Jump Rope for Heart. The kids had a blast. Have a great week everyone! Comments are closed.

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
