I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Saturday was a beautiful day. I went for a run, checked out some antique barns and raked for hours. The wind today brought all of the leaves back. Ha!
I can't believe it is April and we are on the 130th day of school. The PBIS challenge this month will be "Clean Up Our School". Every classroom will be challenged to get 75 Paws cards before April 19th and then we will receive a reward. We will be working on repainting the pavement outside for recess. Lines, boundaries, games, etc. When kids are caught picking up, they will be handed a Paws card. This week we will begin Wonders 4-5. Our genre this week is Poetry. We will be discussing all varieties of poems. In math, we will be having our Unit 5 assessment on Tuesday after a day of review. The kids should be ready for the test. Keep practicing those multiplication facts. We are doing a great job. In science, we continue our Engineering Design unit. We make paper airplanes on Thursday and did flight testing. Kids had a blast. Our president unit is in full swing. We are up to Abraham Lincoln. The kids are making wonderful connections with presidents and history. They are learning so much. Have a wonderful week everyone. Comments are closed.

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
