Happy Sunday everyone. It is back to the chilly weather up here on the Mud Hill. Where is the nice weather?
We are so excited. Our class finished first place in the Book Fair. Thank you so much for your support. We won a class ice cream party and 100.00 dollars in books. The Dunking Donuts are very excited. This week in Wonders reading, we are on Unit 5-week 4. The spelling words are on this site listed on the spelling page. In math, we are working in unit 7 and practicing our fast math for multiplication everyday. Our presidential unit in social studies is rolling along nicely and in science we are studying forces. We received word that we will be able to take chaperones on the whale watch which is Friday, June 3, 2022. Because of 4 third grades the chaperones will have to be limited. There is a certain number of people that are allowed on the boat. We will leave school at 8:30 and return at 4:00. Chaperones will have to drive. If I get more parents than available slots, I will have to do a lottery to choose parents who have submitted their permission slip and check by the deadline. Please remember you must be finger-printed in order to go. The students' cost of the trip will be covered by Michaelmas funds. Captain Chris usually lets us know about what kind of weather we will be facing. If the waves are above four feet out there he usually has us reschedule. The weather 35 miles out to sea is always so different from the shore. If you are prone to sea sickness this is probably not the trip for you. I will let you know more details as soon as they are available. Kids will need to bring a snack and a lunch. There is food and drink that can be purchased on the boat also. Enjoy your Sunday everyone and have a great week ahead. Let's go Mets!! Happy April everyone. I can't believe we are already into April and the third trimester. Even the kids are surprised at how the time flies. It looks kind of cloudy up here on the Mud Hill. Where is the warm weather?

I Believe...Let the kids be kids. Every child has a strength. It is up to the teacher to find it or tap it so they can work to their highest potential. I tend to set the bar very high. Lifetime memories should be made in the classroom and at school. NBCS should be a place where kids enter happy and go home with a smile on their face. I want my kids getting up in the morning begging to go to school! Archives
